Interior Design Assistant
Compensation: $25 / hour

Seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized Interior Design Assistant to join House of Winsor Interiors. This is a unique opportunity for a proactive and resourceful individual to be a key part of a growing firm. The ideal candidate has a passion for interior design and a strong ability to manage administrative and project-related tasks. This role is perfect for someone who is ready to be a versatile contributor and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the interior design process.
Key Responsibilities:
~Design & Project Support: Facilitates site measurements, assists with creating design presentations, sourcing materials, and obtaining vendor quotes. You will help with project documentation, including developing and revising decks and FF&E selections. This includes preparing for client meetings, documenting decisions, and outlining next steps for the team.
~Operational & Administrative Tasks: Provide crucial support for the day-to-day operations of the studio. You will assist in managing administrative needs, acting as the primary point of contact for vendors, and team members with occasional client communication. This includes assisting with client onboarding and scheduling meetings. You will also manage office supplies, run project and office errands, and provide support to the Principal wherever needed, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
~Purchasing & Logistics: You will support the purchasing process from start to finish, which includes sourcing materials, obtaining quotes, and coordinating with the principal for selections. You will place orders and track them through to installation. Additionally, you will help book logistics for installations—coordinating with the receiving warehouse and movers. You will also provide hands-on support during installations and photo shoots..
~Organization & Inventory: Maintain and organize project digital folders, physical binders, and material libraries. You will also manage inventory by inspecting and tracking deliveries and assisting with preparation for installations.
Qualifications:
~A degree in interior design or a related field is preferred.
~1-3 years of experience in an interior design firm or related job.
~Experience with technical drawings and/or design software is highly valued.
~Proficiency in project management software (Houzz Pro), google workspace and canva is a plus.
~Basic understanding of design principles, construction processes, terminology, and space planning.
~Strong organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
~Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
~Ability to lift 25 lbs.
~Has reliable transportation.
